Batum, a holiday city established on the Black Sea coast in the shadow of the Caucasus Mountains, is the most beautiful and oldest city of the Adjara Autonomous Republic of Georgia. Located 22 kilometers inland from Turkey's Sarp border gate, Batumi offers its people a life intertwined with nature, with its green parks along the coast, running and cycling paths. The green, concentrated in parks, continues in the city, around wide streets, between low-rise buildings and in squares.
Georgia also has very different regions in terms of geography, the Adjara region, which includes Batumi on the Black Sea coast, is green and on the seaside, and the Russian border is protected by very high mountains.
